Your Customers Don’t Care About You

It’s interesting, as technology continues to advance and the Internet becomes more and more of a staple in our daily lives…

… I see a fascinating trend taking place, in regards to consumers and service providers:

Your customers don’t give a damn about you or your offline business.  Sorry to be so blunt, but it’s an important point that needs stressed.

The ridiculously easy and instantaneous access to information granted to us by way of the Internet becomes a double-edged sword for local business owners.

You see, your ideal prospects now have [virtually] unlimited choices — with just a few clicks of the mouse — when seeking out your products and services.

Even worse, depending on who you’re asking, is that they have even less free-time.

How Fresh Is Your Content?

What the original caffeine update did was gave Google a more efficient means to discover, assess and rank up-to-date content.

The importance of this, obviously, is to give their users the most current and relative results for any time sensitive searches they might be performing.

Now — as of November 2011 — they’ve upped the ante, making this same ability even more peppy.
